Overview
Registered Nurse โ€“ Radiology (Interventional Radiology) travel assignment in Rochester, New York. Start date: 08/03/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Shift: 10 hours. Weekly pay: $2,652-$2,855 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0.0 per week. Employment type: Travel - Temporary Assignment. Setting: hospital-based, fast-paced pre/post interventional radiology department within a Level 1 Trauma center. This role supports inpatient and outpatient populations across the lifespan, working within a multidisciplinary team to prep patients for procedures and provide post-procedure recovery and overnight observation care.

Responsibilities
- Perform pre-procedural assessment and preparation for interventional radiology patients, including patient education and verification of orders.
- Provide post-procedural recovery care and overnight observation for IR patients, monitoring vitals, managing pain, and recognizing changes in patient status.
- Care for patients boarding overnight pre/post procedure, ensuring safety, comfort, and prompt escalation when needed.
- Deliver Telemetry monitoring and support within the IR setting; assist with imaging-guided procedures as applicable under physician orders.
- Collaborate with physicians, radiology technologists, and support staff to coordinate care, communicate changes, and ensure adherence to protocols.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record and participate in a multidisciplinary approach to patient safety and quality improvement.
Requirements
- Active New York RN license (NYS RN license required)
- BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association only)
- Minimum 2 years of registered IR nursing experience
- Telemetry experience required
- Experience in a fast-paced interventional radiology environment with pre/post care
- GI postprocedural care experience is preferred but not required
- Ability to work in a hospital/interventional radiology setting and adapt to rotating shifts, holidays, weekends, and on-call responsibilities as needed
