UW Medical Center-Montlake -has an outstanding opportunity for a Registered Nurse for our Pre Anesthesia / Pre Surgery Department.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
Our Pre-Anesthesia Clinic RNs provide a complete assessment of the patient and address medical issues to reduce the risk of complications of anesthesia during surgery. Pre-op teaching is also part of the patient visit. The Pre-Anesthesia Clinic will complete assessments for 60+ patients/day which is done as a clinic visit, phone interview or a chart review. Nurses receive in depth specialty training to perform a complete pre-anesthesia evaluation

Care planning

Patient teaching

Discharge and transfer planning

Admission, discharge and transfer processes
REQUIREMENTS

2 years current recent Critical Care experience, Emergency or PACU Phase I and/or Phase II

PACU experience preferred.

Active Washington State RN License or applicable Multistate RN license
