In APASS at Main Campus McWane Building
Work schedule will be Full-time on the Day Shift, Day shift Monday-Friday, shifts vary 5:30am-4:30pm.
Summary:
The clinician is a professional nurse who is an expert in the care of a specified patient population/subspecialty area. The clinician assumes a leadership role and supervisory responsibilities in the development, organization, and implementation of care services for the specified patient population.
Other information:
Previous demonstration of expert clinical management, teaching, research and consultation skills in the subspecialty population.
Credentials with Equivalent Qualifications:
Essential:
* Registered Nurse AL Single State or any of the following equivalent qualifications below:
- Registered Nurse AL NLC Multi State
- Registered Nurse Non-AL NLC Multi State
* Basic Life Support

Our primary focus is on providing thorough pre-anesthesia evaluations and consultations to identify and mitigate potential surgery and anesthesia-related complications.Key Services:Pre-Anesthesia Evaluations & Consultations: We conduct comprehensive assessments to decrease the likelihood of procedural delays and cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances.Parental Education & Support: APASS offers detailed education on surgical and anesthesia processes to alleviate parental fears and anxiety, ensuring families are well-informed and comfortable with upcoming procedures.Inpatient & Pre-Op Screening: Our team screens all inpatient cases scheduled for anesthesia and performs pre-op evaluations on the morning of surgery, including anesthesia consent education.Collaborative Approach: Working closely with the Pediatric Anesthesia team, including anesthesiologists and Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs), APASS ensures a seamless and coordinated approach to patient care. Our collaborative efforts aim to provide the highest standard of safety and comfort for our pediatric patients.
