Job description

CRNA Position at UPMC Hanover

UPMC Hanover is accredited by The Joint Commission, including being a Certified Primary Stroke Center. In addition, UPMC Hanover has achieved the status of Blue Distinction Center for Maternity Care, and Get With the Guidelines Stroke Gold Plus. Case assignments include diverse case mix such as orthopedics, general surgery, urology, endoscopy, ENT, and ophthalmology. No cardiac or neuro cases. Limited pediatric cases.

Team leadership is led by Amy Miranda, Chief CRNA. Our care team model means that we focus on giving everyone a voice, while supporting, respecting, and helping them to deliver care excellence.

Responsibilities include pre-anesthesia assessment, obtaining and/or verifying patient consent, discussing anesthetic options and risks with the patient, induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia, monitoring the patient's physiological condition, and performing clinical intervention as needed.

Requirements include a current license as a registered professional nurse, graduation from an accredited program of nurse anesthesia education, and certification or recertification by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists.
