GENERAL SUMMARY:
  • The Senior Manager of the Perioperative Optimization Clinic provides system-wide operational leadership for Pre-Anesthesia Testing (PAT) Nursing and Optimization Clinic workflows across all hospitals and surgical platforms.
  • The Senior Manager owns platform standardization, governance, and execution to support scalable perioperative growth while ensuring consistent quality, staffing, and operational performance.
  • Balances frontline operational management with system-level strategic thinking. Utilizes the ability to influence without direct authority, particularly across anesthesia, surgical, and administrative stakeholders.
  • Reports to the Director of Anesthesia and maintains a co-leadership relationship with physician leadership and perioperative optimization governance.

• Position: Sr. Manager Optimization/40 hours per week
• Shift: Day Shifts (7AM to 3:30PM)

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or graduate degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing Leadership, or a related field preferred.
  • Five (5) years of related leadership experience.
  • Five (5) years of RECENT clinical nursing experience, with at least three (3) RECENT years in a perioperative, surgical, or pre-anesthesia setting.
  • Demonstrated experience in clinical operations management, workflow design, or process improvement.
  • Experience leading or coordinating multidisciplinary teams across complex clinical environments.
  • Prior experience in a system-wide or multi-site operational role preferred.
  • Familiarity with pre-anesthesia testing (PAT) or surgical optimization programs preferred.
  • Experience with policy development, playbook creation, or clinical standardization initiatives preferred.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Michigan.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
