Job Title - Amb/Retail Pharmacist/OnCall/UKHC - Retail Pharmacy

Department Name - CHANDLER - RETAIL PHARMACY

Work Location - Lexington, KY

Salary Range - $50.34/hr -64.08/hr

Type of Position - Temporary

Position Time Status - On Call

Required Education - BS Pharmacy or Pharm D

Required Related Experience - 0 yrs.

Required License/Registration/Certification - Licensed or eligible for license as a Pharmacist in Kentucky. Must be licensed in the State of KY on day one of employment and maintained throughout time in position.

Physical Requirements - May include standing for greater than 5 hours at a time. May require the ability to reach items above shoulder level and be able to lift up to 30 pounds.

Shift - Primarily covering shifts as needed including weekend shifts at any of the retail pharmacy locations. Must be available to work during operating hours of Operating hours and days of operation are subject to change based on location of assignment. May be required to work on some holidays which currently are being rotated by all Ambulatory Pharmacy Services staff. Weekend shifts are an expected coverage shift. Overnight coverage may be needed at our 24 hour location to cover vacations and absences. Shifts may be at off campus locations in Lexington and Richmond, KY. Transportation will be needed if selected for these locations.

Job Summary - Provide patient care in a fast-paced pharmacy setting. Compounds and dispenses medications and pharmaceutical supplies upon receiving written orders from physicians. Reviews and interprets prescriptions and drug profiles to ensure appropriate drug therapy has been prescribed and ensures that drug interactions are considered. Manage inventory and technician staff to provide excellent customer service. Must be available to work in any of the Ambulatory Retail Pharmacies if needed.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities - Requires attention to detail and the ability to provide excellent customer service. Must be reliable and punctual. This position also requires teamwork, excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills. Must be able to communicate and be understood in the English language.

Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? - No

Preferred Education/Experience - Ambulatory/Retail Pharmacy Experience preferred. PharmD or BS from College of Pharmacy with eligibility to be licensed in KY.
