Our services include native seed and plant production, shoreline and wetland restoration, prescribed burns, conservation grazing, vegetation management, and ecological consulting. We also support solar and infrastructure projects with pollinator-friendly practices and land stewardship expertise.
Our construction division installs native landscapes through seeding, planting, erosion control, and site construction across Minnesota.
The Opportunity
We're seeking a Seasonal Construction Laborer to join our Otsego, MN based Construction team. This role is focused on hands-on field and labor work supporting ecological restoration projects.
As a Field Tech, you'll work as part of a crew performing physical installation tasks under the direction of foremen and superintendents. This is an entry to early-level role for individuals who are comfortable with outdoor labor and eager to build experience in restoration construction.
This position involves regular travel to job sites, including overnight stays. The role is seasonal running through October or November, depending upon available work.
What You Will Do
  • Perform hands-on labor tasks including native seeding, planting, erosion control installation, and site cleanup.
  • Use hand tools, power tools and landscaping equipment such as shovels, rakes, tampers, wheelbarrows, mowers, tillers, tractors, etc.
  • Assist with material handling, loading/unloading, and site preparation.
  • Follow project plans and directions from foremen and superintendents.
  • Maintain clean, safe work areas and follow all safety procedures.
  • Complete basic daily work logs and documentation.
  • Travel to project sites as required, including some overnight stays.

What You Will Need To Be Successful
  • Prior experience in construction, landscaping, agriculture, or outdoor labor preferred.
  • Willingness to perform physical work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work on your feet for extended periods.
  • Reliability, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Basic communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including using Microsoft products and project management software.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time, including some overnights, and work long hours in field conditions.

The pay range for this role is:
21 - 23 USD per hour (Otsego Headquarters)
