What the role is about: 

The Account Manager position will be within the Specialty Grain Group, reporting to the General Manager. He/she will assist customers in managing the day-to-day transactions in the trading portfolio along with being the key internal Bridgewell contact for all imported items, handled by the BWAB International group. 

In addition to the current sales responsibilities, the position will require continuous contact with the BWAB international sourcing group. The additional responsibilities will include day-to-day position updating, weekly product flow updates, inventory monitoring and product allocations. 

What impact you’ll make: 

  • Continue to expand and generate sales opportunities within the Specialty Grains sales group 

  • Identify domestic market needs and identify/manage sourcing opportunities which BWAB International group can source and supply efficiently 

  • Identify int'l supply opportunities and push to the Refined Oils, Grains, and all Sales Groups 

  • Manage cross-department meetings and coordinate information flow 

  • The expectation is the position will work at the Int'l office 1-2 days per week as time allocation requires 

What you’ve accomplished: 

Required Education and Experience 

  • Bachelor's degree in a discipline that provides you with an excellent background in logical reasoning, math, quantitative and analytical skills. For example, Business or Finance, Applied Science and Food Science. Coursework involving sales, marketing, Food Science, Chemistry or Biology are beneficial but not required. 

  • High level of intelligence and academic achievement as demonstrated through grade point average and/or other measures or achievements 

  • Confidence and a true desire to work with people, build relationships, and work as part of a team 

  • Exceptional interpersonal communication and persuasive skills in person and over the phone 

  • Strong spatial, analytical and organizational abilities 

  • Efficient and effective use of MS Outlook, Word and Excel, and the Internet for research, problem solving and resources 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to use general applications programs in an integrated systems environment, including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet Explorer, accounting, database, internet search tools and other software 

  • Maintain a safe driving record and a valid driver's license 

  • Ability to travel overnight. If applicable, ability to travel internationally 

Physical Requirements 

Ability to travel domestically and/or internationally as assigned, including various modes of transportation, such as car/driving, plane, etc. 

Working Conditions: Generally indoor office working conditions. Ability to sit/stand at a workstation for long periods of time. May require work hours in excess of 8 hours per day or 5 days per week. May require overnight travel, domestically and/or internationally. May require outdoor exposure in various weather, such as heat, cold, etc.

What we offer: 

  • Base wage of $60,000-70,000 depending on experience 

  • Commission structure that includes 10% based on the GP sales
