We're searching for the next generation of innovative minds who want to shape the world and live to build.Christman Facility Solutions is looking for a Plumber in our Mesquite, Texas region.

What You Will Do:

As a Plumber, your primary daily responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Utilizes plans and specifications as an outline for installing waste, vents, domestic water, natural gas, steam, and heating and cooling lines.

  • Locates and lays out piping and pipe connections; uses hand and power tools to cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and fittings.

  • Cuts, threads, and solders pipe to required layout using snap cutters, pipe cutters, pipe threading equipment, and acetylene torches.

  • Assembles and installs valves, pipe fittings, and pipe composed of cast iron, copper, steel, and other materials commonly used in the piping trade.

  • Inspects systems installed for leaks and proper grade; makes necessary adjustments.

  • Installs plumbing fixtures and makes final connections to equipment.

  • Checks work along the way to ensure it meets all code and specification requirements.

  • Communicates and presents self professionally within publicly occupied jobsite locations.

  • Communicates effectively with other trades, and constantly works effectively in areas with multiple trades.

  • Cleans work area daily and maintains equipment in safe working condition.


Expected Hours of Work and Travel: Full-time position, occasional extended hours and weekends may apply. Must have reliable transportation. Must be willing to travel 60 miles a day dependent on project location relative to where the employee lives. Long distance travel required occasionally, including overnight stays depending on the project.

What You Will Bring to the Team:

Required experience, knowledge, and skills for this role include:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Minimum 4 years of plumbing experience or relevant work experience or proven established work history for the position.

  • State of Texas Plumbing Journeyman License


Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • Must have knowledge of drafting, blueprint reading, and mathematics.

  • Must be able to determine proper placement of piping without causing structural damage.

  • Must maintain current State of Texas Plumbing Journeyman License.

  • Work requires manual dexterity to use hand and power tools.
