Job description

  • Ensures all study-related datacollection materials, methods, and approaches are consistent andwell-documented. 
  • Arranges for data collection withpartners and ensures data collection is on time, complete, and accurate. 
  • Collects data at the study schools onthe Navajo Nation, including surveys and anthropometric measures.
  • Able to lift, carry, set up, and store15-20 pounds of project materials such as wagons, plastic bins, and datacollection equipment.
  • Usesseveral applications to enter and store data.
  •  Ensures the qualityof the data, and stores data in REDCap, UA Box, and UA Box Health. 
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with human subjects' protections,including Tribal Sovereignty, data sovereignty, privacy and confidentiality.
  • Keeps human research protocol current in the UA system.
  • Create a health promotion curriculum,including lesson design with rationale, activities, sequencing, and training. 
  • Read, understand, and apply relevantliterature, the Arizona Department of Education Standards, and the Departmentof Dine Education Standards to adapt the curriculum for the project.
  • Participates in research team meeting, take minutes, report writing, manuscript development, and grant writing.
  • Serves as a lead role in the administration of projectactivities, including outreach to youth and families, with the ability to thinkahead and plan over a three to six-month time span. 
  • Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with a widerange of individuals and organizations at multiple levels.
  • Travel within the state and the Navajo Nation, which couldinclude some evening, overnight, and/or weekend travel, and overnight stays forseveral days.
