Job description

Daily pay available!


Full time 2 pm- 10 pm shift available. Must have weekend availability


PRN available evening or overnight


Starting pay $18.00


Role: To provide assistance to the resident in maintaining their highest level of functionalindependence and psycho-social wellness. To provide assistance to the Wellness Director andWellness Nurse in the administration of medications and treatments to residents.


Responsibilities:

Perform all assigned tasks in accordance with policies and procedures and as instructed by yoursupervisor and/or the Wellness Director, as well as other members of the Leadership Team.

Assist with medication administration and assistance in accordance with regulations and protocol.

Perform special treatments as instructed.

Document medication administration and treatments within MAR.

Report all adverse reactions, medication errors and resident refusal of medications to Wellness Directoror Wellness Nurse.

Perform vital signs and monitoring as ordered and instructed.

Assist residents as needed with activities of daily living such as dental and mouth care, bathing,dressing/undressing, hair care nail care, shaving, continence management, use of prosthetic devices,securing transportation, shopping, making and keeping appointments, use of the telephone,correspondence, social, exercise and leisure activities, ambulation and dining.

Follow established safety regulations, including fire protection, infection control, bloodbornepathogens, hazardous waste and quality assurance procedures.

Report all changes in the resident's condition, and skin breakdown to the Wellness Director. 

Assist in the coordination of effective communication among Resident Assistants, residents andfamilies.

Maintain liaison with residents and family members.

Assist in the ongoing supervision of Resident Assistants through training, mentoring and coaching.

Assist in the development of work schedules and assignments to ensure staff accountability and taskcompletion.

Follow work assignments and/or work schedules in completing and performing tasks.

Cooperate with other departmental staff to meet the needs of the residents.

Report all complaints, grievances and instances of abuse to the Wellness Director.

Report all occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, infectious materials and hazardous chemicalto the Wellness Director.

Participate and receive report from prior shift.

Assist residents as needed with activities of daily living such as dental and mouth care, bathing,dressing/undressing, hair care nail care, shaving, continence management, use of prosthetic devices,securing transportation, shopping, making and keeping appointments, use of the telephone,correspondence, social, exercise and leisure activities, ambulation and dining.

Serve meals and assist in the clearing of tables under the direction of the Executive Chef.

Implement Connections activities as assigned and instructed by the Connections Director.

Report needed repairs and safety concerns to the Environmental Services Director.

Answer all emergency response system calls immediately.

Provide post-mortem care as instructed.

Work in concert and harmony with other members of the team.

Communicate with family members, visitors and volunteers in a customer service-oriented manner.

Complete all paperwork as required.

Participates in Wellness Meetings.

Assists in doing laundry as needed.


Educational/Vocational Requirements:

Successful completion of an approved medication administration course.

Successful completion of a nurse aide training course if state regulated.

Knowledge of the physiology and psychology of the older adult.

Successful completion of a CPR and First Aid course.
