- Cooler & Freezer Maintenance: Perform routine care of cold storage units, including regular de-icing and replacing evaporator/condenser fans to ensure they remain in proper working order.
- Safety & Maintenance: Secure the building at the end of the shift, report any maintenance hazards or damages, and safely handle cleaning chemicals.
- Physical Strength: Must be able to safely lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs regularly throughout the shift.
- Equipment Experience: Prior experience operating a floor buffer and scrubbing machine is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Basic mechanical aptitude for performing minor freezer/cooler maintenance, such as replacing fan motors. (On-the-job training can be provided for the right candidate).
- Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, work in cold environments (coolers/freezers), and perform repetitive physical tasks for the duration of an 8-hour shift.
- Independence: A self-starter who can work efficiently with minimal supervision overnight.
