Is 30 too late to be a vet?

For an Overnight LVT (Licensed Veterinary Technician) or similar veterinary support role, starting a career at age 30 is generally feasible, as many veterinary professionals begin or transition careers later in life. Success depends on completing required certifications, gaining relevant experience, and demonstrating skills such as animal care and technical proficiency. Age is less restrictive than meeting licensing and training requirements for the position.

The profession often faces staffing shortages, leading to competitive wages and the need for relevant certifications and experience. Job seekers with specialized skills and flexibility in scheduling are in particular demand.
