Role Summary
ย
We are hiring commercial-licensed truck drivers (CDL) to support a long-distance mapping and data-collection program within the transportation sector. This role involves frequent travel and operation along multi-state routes, with scheduled overnight layovers as part of planned rotations. Drivers will work in a two-shift structure and support basic field-operator tasks related to sensor readiness, including cleaning and simple reset procedures. This is a field operations position requiring strict compliance with DOT regulations and adherence to predictable rotation and shift planning.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate commercial vehicles on long-distance, multi-state routes in accordance with dispatch instructions.
  • Follow assigned route plans, shift schedules, and rotation calendars.
  • Support overnight layovers as required, including up to five consecutive days away from home, utilizing a designated secure parking network.
Technical Support
  • Perform sensor hygiene and cleaning as part of pre-trip readiness, including lenses and exterior sensor surfaces.
  • Execute basic reboot and reset procedures when requested by dispatch, following provided instructions only (no independent technical troubleshooting).
  • Complete all required checklists and readiness confirmations as trained.
Training & Compliance
  • Complete client-provided training and certification (approximately two weeks) delivered through the client's Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Adhere to program safety requirements, escalation procedures, and communication protocols.
Required Qualifications:
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and legal authorization to work in the United States.
  • Enrollment in a DOT-compliant drug and alcohol testing program, including pre-employment and random testing.
  • Valid medical qualification, including a DOT medical card or medical examiner's certification, as applicable.
  • Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) meeting standard lookback requirements (typically the past three years).
  • Employment history verification in accordance with standard DOT hiring practices.
  • Ability and willingness to operate long-distance, multi-state routes with overnight travel, including up to five consecutive days away from home.
  • Availability and comfort working a two-shift operation (morning or late evening/night), as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience supporting mapping, data-collection, fleet technology, telematics, or other specialized route-driving programs.
  • Familiarity with long-haul operational discipline, including the use of secure truck parking networks and adherence to structured parking procedures.
