Team Leader โ€“ After Hours Support Shift


Job Description

The Afterโ€‘Hours Logistics Support Team Leader oversees evening and overnight logistics operations, provides realโ€‘time problem resolution, supports drivers, customers and associates. The role is designed to ensure continuity when daytime leadership is offline.

Your impact as a leader

  • Ensure smooth execution of all evening and overnight logistics activities, including dispatch, routing, and issue escalation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with your team members, customers and carrier partners.
  • Troubleshoot delivery challenges, route changes, equipment issues, and customerโ€‘impacting delays.
  • Track pickup and delivery timelines, and exceptions to maintain operational continuity.
  • Handle inbound calls, emails, and system alerts when daytime leadership is offline.
  • Use judgment to resolve urgent issues, escalate when necessary, and maintain service commitments
  • Log operational issues, resolutions, and handoff notes for the next shift.
  • Provide direction, answer questions, and help maintain performance standards.
  • Set the tone for reliability and consistency during offโ€‘peak hours.

Qualifications and skills we value

  • 3-4 years of experience in logistics/transportation
  • Drayage/port experience is a plus
