Description

SAIC is seeking a Linux Systems/Cloud Administrator in Colorado Springs, CO to support the AF TENCAP HOPE 2.0 contract.

The AF TENCAP HOPE 2.0 contract bridges intelligence community collection architectures, capabilities, and technologies with DoD operational and tactical requirements.  This effort will deliver rapid, innovative, and cost-effective capabilities to meet warfighter needs, and will include bringing national capabilities to bear across all warfighting domains spanning intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, combat applications, battlespace awareness, command and control, multi-level security and mission programs.  

The systems and cloud administrator will be a part of a close team that maintains, enhances and upgrades a myriad of applications and services, in an enterprise environment. As part of the team, you will participate in implementation and maintenance of On-Prem IT and Cloud Infrastructure to support the customer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing Mid-Tier to Top-Tier Systems Administration for clients and servers in a heterogeneous environment.
  • Maintain and develop Ansible playbooks for automation and configuration management of an on-prem cloud environment.
  • Administer all Linux servers (RHEL, Rocky Linux) across the enterprise.
  • Monitor health, performance, and availability of Linux, cloud, and network infrastructure; remediate issues.
  • Provide hardware/operating system support during exercises.
  • Patch systems and apply STIGs.
  • Administer and manage cloud infrastructure and services (Linux virtual machines, RKE2, Rancher).
  • Remediate ACAS vulnerabilities and respond to CTOs affecting systems.
  • Maintain SOPs and troubleshooting guides for Linux and cloud environment.
  • Assist other team members with infrastructure and server administration tasks.
  • Install software packages and maintain inventory of all assets and applications.
  • Write/update/enhance system documentation concerning problem resolutions.
  • Write technical justifications for the procurement of hardware & software.
  • Perform other systems administration tasks as assigned. 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Must have a current DoD 8140 System Administrator intermediate certification (Security+ CE or greater).
  • Bachelor's Degree and nine (9)+ years of experience; additional four (4) years of experience considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Working knowledge of security compliance in a DoD environment: STIGs, SCAP.
  • Working knowledge of operating systems: Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Rocky Linux.
  • Working knowledge of network protocols: TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, etc.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux or derivatives (e.g., Rocky Linux).
  • Experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting Linux systems.
  • Possesses meticulous organizational skills with experience in administrative support documentation, log file analysis, system audits, and other record keeping practices.
  • Willing to iterate and adapt system support requirements to changing requirements and conditions.
  • Possesses strong writing skills and can clearly articulate and document technical plans, findings, and recommendations.
  • An Active Top Secret Clearance with ability to obtain a TS/SCI Clearance.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Local to Colorado Springs, work on-site 100% of the time.

Desired Qualifications

  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD), or Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA) certification.
  • Experience managing and troubleshooting on-prem Kubernetes cloud infrastructure and services.
  • Experience deploying, managing and troubleshooting multi-account cloud-based environments.
  • Documented knowledge of configuration management tools (Ansible).
  • Documented experience with scripting (e.g., shell, bash, python).
  • Experience supporting enterprise authentication (e.g., LDAP, OIDC).
  • Working knowledge of infrastructure hardware and appliances. 

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
