Barlume Beach Montauk is looking for a night watchman (or overnightsecurity guard) who protects premises, assets, and personnel during nighttimehours. Responsibilities include patrolling property grounds, monitoringsurveillance (CCTV), locking entry points, checking for fire hazards orvandalism, and responding to emergencies. They maintain detailed logs andreport suspicious activity.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Conduct regularinterior and exterior foot patrols, checking doors, windows, and perimeterfencing

Monitor securitycameras, alarms, and surveillance equipment to detect intruders or technicalmalfunctions.

Authorize entry andexit of staff or visitors and secure the building at the end of the day.

Inspect safetyequipment, lighting, and machinery to ensure they are functional and safe.

Document hourlychecks, security breaches, and daily activity in a, log, reporting incidents tolaw enforcement or management

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma orGED certificate.

Previoussecurity or law enforcement experience is often preferred.

Ability to handleemergency situations (CPR/first aid training is a plus), basic computerproficiency, strong observation skills and strong communication,

Ability to stand andwalk for extended periods and, in some cases, lift or move heavy objects.

Reliability,vigilance, and the capability to work independently with minimal supervisionduring late-night hours.

Working Conditions

Working alone, oftenovernight (e.g., 12 a.m. to 8 a.m.).

Quiet, controlledenvironment, but requiring high alertness.

Often requires workingweekends, holidays, and long overnight shifts.

Positions arefrequently found in hotel, residential, or commercial buildings.
