    Position Description
    • Must report to work each day as scheduled by Dispatcher on time and ready to work.
    • Employee shall call Dispatcher if they are to miss day or report late.
    • Must wear required safety clothing and personal safety equipment as required per daily situation.
    • Responsible for safe transport of various construction materials from designated sources such as quarries, borrow pits or manufacturing plants to pre-determined delivery points/job sites.
    • Follow all safe practice procedures and requirements outlined by George & Lynch policies as well as any applicable regulatory agencies, such as the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA).
    • Must possess and maintain a current valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL).
    • Must obtain a medical examiners certificate (physical card) from George & Lynch's approved source.
    • Must have a minimum of one year Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) operator experience
    • Ability to perform a thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspection in accordance with the Drivers Vehicle Inspection Report book supplied by George & Lynch
    • Ability to understand and complete all other job specific required documentation including but not limited to, Daily Time accounting sheets, Daily Drivers time record sheets, Monthly mileage and Fuel usage sheets
    • Must pass an initial skills assessment test to be administered by an appointed George & Lynch representative
    • Responsible for proper loading and unloading of truck to prevent potential damage to personnel or equipment
    • Responsible for accurate compliance with weight restrictions and proper load distribution

    Position Requirements
    Education Requirement: None - High School Diploma or Equal is preferred
    Physical Requirement: Able to pick up 50 lbs./Move full range of motions
    Class A, Tanker Endorsement, Hazmat Endorsement, Air Brake Endorsement
