Job description

Overview
This position assists in overseeing the long-term strategy of the portfolio and supports the Real Estate Development Department in making recommendations about individual properties for the purposes of maximizing financial returns and assists in the project management of acquisitions, dispositions, rehabilitations, and financing of the portfolio.
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for assisting the REDM in overseeing the long-term strategy of the portfolio by analyzing and reviewing financial information and making recommendations on a long-term strategy for each property.
  • Assist with a wide range of operating and financial projections for the development of both short-term and long-term business plans including supporting the Portfolio Oversight Committee (POC).
  • Assist in the financial review and analysis of non-tax credit acquisitions.
  • Assist in the financial review and analysis of property rehabilitations.
  • Assist in the financial review and analysis of debt financings which is inclusive of debt related to acquisitions and rehabs.
  • Support REDM with ensuring all initial projections are completed according to specified guidelines.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • Able to work with financial concepts and perform financial analysis.
  • Work effectively as a project manager when leading a project.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products including but not limited to a strong computer knowledge utilizing spreadsheet software for data analysis and report generation required.
  • Must be able to read and comprehend the English language.
  • Fluent in Spanish is a plus.
  • Travel to visit existing properties, new acquisitions, or attend work related conferences. Overnight travel is likely.
