Job description

The Software Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining custom software applications, workflow automations, integrations, microservices, and internal tools that support Eventus WholeHealth's clinical, operational, and corporate functions. This role partners closely with the Director of Intelligent Systems Solutions to translate business and technical requirements into secure, scalable, production-ready solutions. The position supports operational effectiveness across more than 1,250 healthcare facilities through software development, automation, data visibility, cloud technologies, and system integrations. This role operates within an AI-enabled development environment and utilizes AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate development, testing, documentation, and analysis while maintaining strong engineering oversight
Qualifications: Education, Licensure and Certifications, Related Work Experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline preferred.
• 2-5 years of hands-on software development experience.
• Experience with Python or another modern programming language and using AI-assisted development platforms such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude code or similar tools
• Relevant technical certifications in Azure, AWS, software development, cloud technologies,
or related disciplines are preferred but not required.
Other specialized skills and knowledge necessary to perform this job. (e.g., basic accounting principles, computer skills and software, specific healthcare processes, interpersonal, communication, etc.
1. Proficiency in Python development, software engineering principles, and application development. 3. Experience with REST APIs, Microsoft Graph API, integrations, and cloud platforms including Azure and AWS.
2. Strong knowledge of SQL, database structures, and data troubleshooting. 4. Knowledge of Git workflows, secure coding practices, AI-assisted development, stakeholder communication, and healthcare data security concepts.
Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities
1. Build custom software, internal tools, workflow automations, microservices, and integrations that improve business operations.
2. Translate architectural designs, business requirements, and workflow needs into reliable production-ready solutions.
3. Design, prototype, and validate technical solutions and proofs of concept.
4. Develop and maintain integrations using REST APIs, Microsoft Graph API, healthcare system APIs, and third-party platforms.
5. Collaborate with Data & Analytics teams and business stakeholders to align technical solutions with organizational objectives.
6. Maintain and enhance existing production systems, applications, automations, integrations, and microservices.
7. Implement monitoring, alerting, error handling, troubleshooting, and resiliency measures to ensure system reliability and security.
8. Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, runbooks, and support documentation.
9. Develop reporting and dashboard solutions using Power BI or similar visualization tools and leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, testing, documentation, and analysis.
10. Other related duties as assigned.
