This role is a strategic leader responsible for designing and delivering high-impact events and field engagement experiences that strengthen the World Financial Group (WFG) and Transamerica Financial Advisors (TFA) value proposition. This role leads the planning and execution of large-scale national and international events that attract, develop, retain, reward, and recognize agents and financial professionals across the United States and Canada.Serving as a key partner to WFG and TFA executive leadership, the Senior Director drives experiences that inspire field engagement, reinforce business priorities, celebrate achievement, and cultivate pride in the WFG brand. This leader collaborates closely with Field Relations, CX & Marketing, Distribution, Training, and Product teams to execute engagement strategies, deliver exceptional field experiences, and support WFG’s ongoing growth and transformation.

Responsibilities
  • In collaboration with the VP Field Relations, design and execute a comprehensive meetings and events strategy aligned with WFG and T TFA business objectives.
  • Lead the planning and execution of complex, large-scale national and international meetings, conferences, leadership forums, incentive trips and recognition events. Create innovative event experiences that strengthen field engagement, reinforce organization culture, and drive business performance.
  • Achieve ROI (tangible and intangible) and expense management targets for each event, effectively managing spending and expenses to adhere to budget. Ensure strong financial stewardship and measurable return on investment. Lead vendor selection, contract negotiations, and partner management activities. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics for events and engagement programs to make improvements as needed.
  • Partner with the VP, Field Relations and Head of CX & Marketing to develop and execute integrated communications strategies supporting field engagement initiatives. Oversee the development of event marketing materials, presentations, gamification strategies, entertainment programming, and participant communications to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing, engaged meeting & events team through effective talent management and employee development initiatives.
  • Partner with colleagues across Distribution, CX & Marketing, Field Training, Field Relations, and Product to strengthen WFG’s position as a premier industry partner for agents and financial professionals. Provide leadership and oversight to manage agent recognition, rewards, and promotion programs, including vendor relationships & management, operational budget, and end-to-end management of the US WFG Store.
  • Provide strategic insights regarding field sentiment, business challenges, and engagement opportunities to VP, Field Relations and WFG/TFA executive leadership.
Qualifications
  • 12+ years of progressive leadership experience within financial services, insurance, wealth management, sales, marketing, field engagement or relations functions.
  • 8+ years of people management experience building engaging and productive work environments
  • Knowledge of insurance, brokerage, wholesale/marketing organizations
  • Demonstrated success leading complex, large-scale events, conferences, recognition programs, and engagement initiatives. Highly organized, flexible and detailed oriented to execute on multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Demonstrated expertise in budget planning and management, contract administration, and vendor partnership management for maximum ROI and expense management
  • Proven ability to develop and leverage KPIs, metrics, and analytics to drive business decisions and program effectiveness
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills to deliver important messages to diverse groups
  • Ability to influence outcomes with executive leaders, field leadership, internal and external stakeholders while maintaining strong partnerships
  • Strong strategic thinking, project management, and problem-solving capabilities
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or related field
  • Life insurance license, as required by state(s)
  • FINRA Series 6 and 63
  • Knowledge of Transamerica/WFG products
  • Experience working with World Financial Group, Inc.
Working Conditions
  • Domestic and international travel required with overnight and weekend stays.

The Salary for this position generally ranges between $200,000-$225,000 annually . Please note that the salary range is a good faith estimate for this position and actual starting pay is determined by several factors including qualifications, experience, geography, work location designation (in-office, hybrid, remote) and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.

Additionally, this position is typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at the Company’s discretion.
