Job description

Injection Mold Operator
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Injection Mold Technician to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining injection molding machines to produce high-quality plastic components. This role requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate injection molding machines according to production schedules and specifications.
  • Install and remove molds, ensuring proper alignment and function.
  • Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to ensure optimal cycle times and product quality.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of molds and machines.
  • Inspect finished products for defects and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve production issues.
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in injection molding or plastic manufacturing.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of mold setup and processing.
  • Familiarity with various types of injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or shifts as needed.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Standing, bending, and walking for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity and visual acuity for detailed inspection and machine operation.
