Job Summary:

Position Type: Full-Time
Pay Range: $17.00 - $18.50+ DOE
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM

Our Warehouse Operations Clerk will perform the following duties:

  • Receive inbound cargo by completing an inspection of the cargo, labeling of cargo and staging the cargo in our warehouse.
  • Assist drivers by loading and unloading 53' trailers with a forklift
  • Using a forklift to pull and stage delivery freight for our box truck drivers to load.
  • Using computer to send emails and update shipment details when needed
  • Maintaing warehouse organization and good housekeeping
  • Ensuring the warehouse remains secure at all times
  • Updating shipments in our freight management software

California Sierra Express has been serving the air freight logistics industry for over 35 years. We operate six freight terminals in CA and one in Reno, NV.  We're an overnight carrier serving international and domestic freight forwarders as a final mile Pick-Up and Delivery agent for shipments that travel around the globe.

You'll be joining a local team of 15 people committed to providing the best service possible to our customers who trust Cal Sierra to move their shipments on-time throughout Fresno and the greater Central Valley.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Consistent attendance Mon - Fri is mandatory. 
  • Operate a forklift safely when loading shipments in and out of trailers or staging and stacking in the warehouse.  
  • Comply with truck and cargo security requirements as outlined by the Transportation Safety Administration (TSA).  
  • Comply with safe work practices as required by the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) 
  • Comply with federal drug and alcohol regulations. 
  1. High school diploma or equivalent.  
  2. Valid Driver’s License, preferred.  
  3. Minimum of one (1) year of forklift experience.  
  4. Ability to effectively communicate in English; verbally and in writing. 
  5. Ability to demonstrate basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and some division.
