Job Summary:

We are looking for an AM shift warehouse associate with responsibilities as a backup transfer truck driver. You'll be at the center of our state-of-the-art sharpening center, where we sharpen and process 80,000+ knives and blades for our customers.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan, schedule, and execute all distribution services, including receiving, storing, shipping, handling returned/damaged goods, maintenance, and administrative activities, to ensure customer requirements are met. Maintains quality compliance.
  • Ensure shipping schedules are implemented correctly, and jobs are completed properly. Apply sound communication to carrier-based as well as receiving facilities.
  • Ensure that customer orders are picked and shipped in a timely fashion within prescribed cost levels. Develop and implement an effective receiving operation that minimizes cost and ensures receiving paperwork is processed accurately and promptly.
  • Checks and unloads inbound shipments, orderly stacking of product, and picking and staging of outbound shipments in accordance with a high level of productivity.
  • Verify required inbound/outbound paperwork
  • Counts/verifies, and records all products entering or leaving the building, ensuring that all products are properly counted.
  • Assist in physical inventories and cycle counts. Ensure the optimal utilization of dock space.
  • Records: Complete all necessary records and reports in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Monitor the cleanliness and working condition of all equipment and the facility.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Assist in maintaining warehouse security. Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety; ensure compliance in accordance with OSHA and other appropriate standards. Ability to drive 26 FT box truck as needed.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • A clean driving record is a must.
  • Broad knowledge of warehouse operations and technology. Familiarity with warehouse, inventory, and computer systems
  • Must be able to travel overnight as needed.
  • Ability to scale an operation, without sacrificing efficiency and reliability, during periods of rapid growth.
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 11:00 AM- 7:00 PM.
  • $19.00/hr during warehouse activities; $20.00/hr when operating the transfer truck.
