Beverage Equipment Fountain Install Tech Role Overview
Fountain Installer is responsible for maneuvering, installing and removing fountain, coffee, tea, frozen drink, coolers, and other equipment as determined by the Sales department to help maximize sales and customer satisfaction.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Installs fountain, coffee, tea, coolers, and frozen drink equipment in new and existing accounts, accurately accounting for all Pepsi owned assets while meeting customer expectations.
  • Installs plumbing and electrical cross connects.
  • Installs necessary tubing through walls, ceilings, basements, crawl spaces, conduits and attics.
  • Provides "Service that Sells." Works with the customer to ensure we are meeting their needs and keeps customer informed of progress.
  • Cleans and removes all debris from customer location.
  • Troubleshoots and inspects installation of fountain equipment.
  • Adjusts valves, carbonators, controls, and gauges.
  • Loads necessary equipment onto trucks in a safe manner.
  • Inspects all inbound/outbound equipment for safety and gross defects.
  • Performs necessary administrative tasks, customer billing, equipment move orders, parts replenishment, Vehicle Condition Report (VCR), install check list, and all required paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Ensures necessary materials and supplies are ordered and on hand at all times.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state and local guidelines for fountain equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience or knowledge in beverage equipment repair or related fields (small appliance, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration).
  • Coursework in aforementioned fields may substitute for experience.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and meet PBV driving guidelines.
  • Must be able to pass a DOT physical prior to first day of employment.
  • Must be able to travel daily to assigned accounts. Overnight travel may be required.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to work hours necessary to complete assigned tasks.
  • Understanding of electrical components, plumbing, board level schematics, electronics troubleshooting, mechanics and refrigeration preferred.
  • Possess knowledge and understanding of vending and fountain equipment repairs and parts.
  • Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, and procedures to promote security operations for the protection of people, data, property and institutions preferred.
  • Ability to grasp and understand the functionality of SAP, Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
  • Ability to learn and provide excellent customer service.
  • Coaching capabilities, and ability to train others preferred.
