Employment Type: Full-Time
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Weekday overnight shifts with rotating weekend coverage | 12:00 AM - 8:00 AM
Position Overview
Citadel Security USA is seeking a dependable Armed Mobile Patrol Security Officer to provide overnight security coverage for multiple commercial properties throughout the Grand Junction area. This position is responsible for performing scheduled vehicle and foot patrols using a company-provided patrol vehicle, securing client facilities, and helping protect people, property, and assets during overnight operations.
The ideal candidate is observant, exercises sound judgment, and is comfortable working independently while maintaining a highly visible security presence across assigned locations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct scheduled vehicle patrols in a company-provided patrol vehicle between assigned client properties.
  • Perform foot patrols to inspect buildings, parking areas, and surrounding grounds.
  • Lock and unlock facilities according to established client schedules.
  • Monitor properties for unauthorized individuals, suspicious activity, or safety concerns.
  • Respond appropriately to alarms, disturbances, and security-related incidents.
  • Maintain a professional armed presence while interacting with clients, tenants, contractors, and visitors.
  • Complete detailed daily activity logs and incident reports using company reporting systems.
  • Report maintenance issues, hazards, damaged property, or security vulnerabilities promptly.
  • Follow all company policies, client post orders, and applicable state and local regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and dispatch regarding operational updates or emergency situations.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be at least 21 years of age (required for Colorado armed security licensing).
  • Valid driver's license with a clean three-year driving record (MVR).
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
