Summary:

LG Energy Solution Arizona, Inc. is seeking a Facilities Supervisor that will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of essential facility equipment to ensure continuous production. The Supervisor assists technicians with their daily tasks, ensuring they have the necessary tools to perform their jobs effectively and addressing any safety concerns that arise. They coordinate with other departments and vendors and contractors to ensure processes are adhered to and that onsite storage inventories are maintained. Supervisors serve as the initial point of escalation for issues identified by technicians and will involve other teams and departments as necessary. This role is essential in ensuring the factory operates safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, proactive, and committed to maintaining LG Energy Solution Arizona, Inc.'s high standards for safety, reliability, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain a proactive operating team focused on monitoring, technical execution, and customer service.
  • Organize, oversee, and manage the Facility Technical Group, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and promoting enhancements.
  • Guide technical staff in carrying out complex factory operations, specializing in electrical, mechanical, chemical, and water systems.
  • Implement policies, create procedures, and plan resource allocation to support both scheduled and unexpected activities.
  • Offer training, mentorship, and career development to staff, enhancing performance and handling on-shift escalations.
  • Serve as incident commander during facility equipment or utility disruptions, analyze complex issues, and apply solutions to prevent recurrence
  • Communicate detailed work plans, confirm task completion, and evaluate reports to assess productivity and achievement of goals.
  • Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Possess a bachelor's or associate's degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience
  • 15+ years of technical facility maintenance experience with at least 1 year of supervisory experience in critical operations or complex systems such as EV, biopharma, power plants, or refineries.
    • Must be able to work overnight in support of 12-hour production shifts as well as performing start-up preparation before shift and close-out activities after shift.
    • Must be able to work an alternative, compressed week schedule, including standard weekend shifts (Saturdays and/or Sundays) as required by the schedule
  • Use and promote the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) according to site protocols.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for more than 10 hours daily, lift 10-20 pounds, and work in areas with heavy equipment, chemical storage, and hazardous conditions.
  • Able to obtain OSHA 30 certification within 3 months of employment.
  • Capable of recognizing audible and visual alarms and handling hazardous materials.
  • Support or perform shift duties in a 24/7 manufacturing environment, including alternative work schedules such as condensed work weeks as factory operations grow.
