Job description

Guest Experience & Overnight Operations Schedule: Typically 11:00 PM-7:00 AM. Actual schedule may vary based on business needs, including weekends and holidays.
A Little About You - Day to Day
We are seeking a dynamic and service-driven hospitality professional who is ready to move beyond traditional front desk responsibilities and take ownership of the guest experience from pre-arrival through check-out.
This role is ideal for a hands-on hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads by example, and is passionate about creating memorable, personalized experiences for every guest. You will play an integral role in overnight hotel operations while gaining valuable cross-departmental experience and developing your leadership capabilities.
What You'll Do
  • Oversee the complete guest journey, ensuring a seamless, personalized, and elevated experience from pre-arrival through departure.
  • Serve as Night Manager two nights per week, assuming full operational responsibility for the hotel during assigned overnight shifts.
  • Provide Night Auditor coverage two nights per week, ensuring accurate financial reporting, proper reconciliation, and smooth overnight operations.
  • Support hotel operations on a fifth workday, assisting across departments as needed to maintain service excellence, operational efficiency, and guest satisfaction.
  • Act as a visible and approachable leader, anticipating guest needs and resolving concerns with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.

Who We're Looking For
Experience
Minimum of two years of front office or guest relations experience. Previous supervisory or leadership experience is preferred. A degree or formal education in hospitality or a related field is preferred.
Service & Communication
A polished, professional communicator who can quickly establish rapport with guests and colleagues. You understand the importance of discretion, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality in a luxury hotel environment.
Leadership
A confident, hands-on professional who can take ownership, make sound decisions independently, and remain composed while managing the unique demands of overnight hotel operations.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to frequently move throughout the hotel to interact with guests, colleagues, and operational teams. Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 10 lbs. frequently and up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
Flexibility
Availability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays is required. The ability to adapt to changing business needs and operational priorities is essential.
Why This Role Matters
As a key overnight presence within the hotel, you will have a unique opportunity to influence the guest experience, support your colleagues, and ensure the property operates at the highest level throughout the night. This is more than a traditional front office position-it is an opportunity to grow as a hospitality leader while delivering the exceptional service and attention to detail expected in a luxury environment.
Why You'll Love Working with IHG Hotels & Resorts at InterContinental San Francisco
