Job description

This Health and Human Performance academic internship will allow the intern to receive real world, hands on experience by setting up, running, and analyzing exercise tests and assessments.
Responsibilities and Career Competencies:
  • Collect, record, and manage assessment data while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. C, CSD, T
  • Analyze assessment results and assist in developing individualized recommendations to improve health, fitness, and athletic performance. CSD, CT, T
  • Meet one-on-one with student-athletes to explain assessment results and discuss performance-related implications. C, TW, P
  • Assist with pre-season, mid-season, and post-season testing for athletic teams. C, TW, P, CDS, CTR
  • Prepare and calibrate assessment equipment and ensure testing areas are organized and safe. P, CSD, CT, L
  • Assist with exercise prescription development under faculty supervision. C, TW, CSD, CT
  • Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to professional reports for coaches and athletes. C, P, CSD, L, T
  • Collaborate with HHP faculty and athletic staff to coordinate testing schedules and athlete follow-up. C, P, T
  • Develop professional skills in communication, data interpretation, and evidence-based exercise science practices. C, CSD, CT

Additional Comments: Student must work a minimum of 80 hours in the semester. Student must enroll concurrently into CVL 401: Integrated Internship Experience and successfully complete this course.
