Become a crucial member of our vibrant team as an Overnight Diesel Tire Greaser Technician and play an essential role in our automotive service operations! In this lively position, you will concentrate on the maintenance and repair of heavy-duty diesel trucks by executing tire services, conducting vehicle diagnostics, and performing necessary mechanical repairs during overnight shifts. Your skills will ensure that fleet vehicles remain safe, dependable, and prepared for the road. This role presents an excellent opportunity to utilize your automotive repair expertise in a fast-paced setting while working overnight hours that align with your lifestyle. Duties Carry out tire replacements, rotations, repairs, and inspections on diesel trucks and heavy-duty vehicles using both hand tools and power tools. Execute vehicle maintenance activities such as oil changes, alignments, and general mechanical repairs to guarantee optimal performance. Diagnose automotive problems using automotive diagnostic tools and mechanical knowledge to determine required repairs. Employ safe heavy lifting techniques to manage tires and vehicle components, ensuring efficient service delivery. Keep detailed service records, complete shift reports, and document all repairs conducted for quality assurance purposes. Assist with vehicle inspections to detect potential maintenance requirements and suggest suitable solutions. Aid the team in upholding a clean, organized work environment while adhering to safety standards. Qualifications Demonstrated experience in a dealership or automotive repair setting with an emphasis on diesel trucks is preferred. Strong mechanical background with expertise in automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, and tire services. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and automotive service equipment is crucial. Understanding of mechanical systems related to heavy-duty vehicles, including alignments and oil changes. Previous experience as a service technician showcasing excellent customer service abilities is highly regarded.
