Job description

Shift: 2nd Shift | Monday–Friday | 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM
 
Notes: Minimum 3 years previous work experience as a CNC Machinist with understanding of CNC lathe or mill machines.
 
Position Summary:
The CNC Machinist – Responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC lathe and mill machines to manufacture precision components according to blueprint and work order specifications. This role requires strong machining knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain quality and production standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
 
Key Responsibilities
•    Program, set up, and operate CNC lathe and mill machines using G-Code. 
•    Read and interpret blueprints, job orders, tooling instructions, and specification charts. 
•    Load and secure parts into fixtures and holding devices. 
•    Select and install appropriate tooling, cutters, and inserts for machining operations. 
•    Monitor machine operations, tool wear, and replace tools as needed. 
•    Use precision measuring instruments including micrometers, Vernier calipers, height gauges, and bore gauges to verify part dimensions. 
•    Produce quality parts within close tolerances while meeting production goals and deadlines. 
•    Perform deburring, polishing, de-gating, and packaging of finished components. 
•    Complete routine machine maintenance and maintain accurate production documentation. 
•    Maintain a clean and organized workspace following 5S principles. 
•    Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality, output, safety, and efficiency. 
•    Assist supervisors and team members with additional production tasks as needed. 
 
Qualifications
•    High School Diploma or GED required. 
•    Minimum 3 years of CNC machining experience with CNC lathe or mill machines. 
•    Experience handling both large/heavy parts and small precision components. 
•    Strong understanding of blueprint reading and machining specifications. 
•    Knowledge of G-Code programming and CNC setup procedures. 
•    Ability to use precision measuring tools and inspection equipment. 
•    Ability to work overtime as needed. 
•    Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods.
