VSA is looking to hire exceptional talent to become a part of an exceptional team! The Part-Time Courtesy Patrol Officer guards the resort property against fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry. The right person for our Part-Time Courtesy Patrol Officer will have the ability to follow all directions to ensure safety to all property merchandise, employees, and guests. This position has a support responsibility to all functional officers, directors, and managers. This position requires you to work overnight from 11pm - 7am. Must be available weekends and holidays as needed.

Essential functions/duties include:
  • Periodically patrols the building, units, and grounds. Performs periodic maintenance and vacancy inspections on clean/vacant units and reports discrepancies via proper channels.
  • Examines doors, windows, gates, and other community areas, including the Hospitality Room, always ensuring their security.
  • Warns violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, trespassing, unauthorized parking or entry, and smoking and works for removal of violators.
  • Inspects doors and locks to ascertain if tampering has occurred.
  • Watches for and reports irregularities, such as fire hazards, leaking water pipes, and security doors left unlocked.
  • Observes all activity on property and observes departing guests to guard against theft of company property.
  • Records, reports, and mitigates property damage, unusual incidents, and malfunctions of equipment.
  • Check parking lot for unauthorized vehicles and bicyclists, and monitor bicycle rack.
  • Complete knowledge and awareness of all emergency procedures (fire, elevator, water, power, brown outs)
  • Check out any noise complaints

  • Able to resolve common problems and concerns of owners/guests
  • Able to grasp everyday communication principles that apply to job
  • Able to communicate effectively
  • Able to analyze basic written and verbal communication
  • Should have general knowledge of resort key and alarm systems
