Job Title: Occupational Health Nurse (Registered Nurse)

No. of Positions: 3 Positions

Exact Location: 9000 Blue Mound Road, Fort Worth, TX 76131

Duration: 1-year contract with the possibility of four (4) optional extensions

Salary: $76,960 – $87,360 annually

Shift Schedule:
  • Lead RN – Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Staff RN – Mid Shift: 3:00 PM – 10:30 PM
  • Staff RN – Evening/Overnight Shift: 10:30 PM – 7:00 AM
  • Shifts may be flexible by approximately plus or minus one hour based on operational requirements.
  • The clinic requires 24-hour RN coverage.
Paid Time Off / Leave:
  • 2 weeks of paid PTO, including the last week of December off
  • 1 week of paid sick leave
License:

Valid and active Registered Nurse (RN) license. Candidates with an active RN license from any U.S. state may be considered.

Certifications:
  • Lead RN: Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN or COHN-S) – Required
  • Staff RN: Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC) – Required
  • Lead RN & Staff RN: NIOSH-Approved Spirometry Training – 16-hour course, renewed every 5 years
  • Lead RN & Staff RN: Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required
Education:
  • Lead RN: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or graduate degree from an accredited nursing program required.
  • Staff RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN or higher preferred.
Experience:
  • Lead RN: Minimum 5 years of nursing experience; supervisory, management, and occupational health nursing experience preferred.
  • Staff RN: Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience; occupational health nursing and/or emergency care experience preferred.
Special Skills:
  • Occupational health nursing and emergency care
  • Audiometry and spirometry screening
  • Workers’ compensation case management
  • Emergency response, including CPR/AED
  • Employee health and medical surveillance support
  • Proficiency with Cority Occupational Health and Safety software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to maintain accurate records, prepare reports, and escalate urgent health concerns
  • Leadership and supervisory skills applicable to the Lead RN position
Credentialing / Onboarding: Approximately 6 to 8 weeksResponsibilities:
  • Provide occupational health nursing, first aid, and emergency care during assigned shifts.
  • Perform audiometry, spirometry, immunizations, vaccinations, and employee health screenings.
  • Support workers’ compensation cases, FECA/OWCP documentation, and medical surveillance activities.
  • Assist with fitness-for-duty and pre-employment examinations.
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered and maintain accurate employee health records in Cority.
  • Respond to workplace emergencies and provide CPR/AED support as needed.
  • Refer employees for outside medical care when services exceed onsite capabilities.
  • Support the Medical Director and promptly escalate urgent health concerns.
  • Lead RN: Oversee Health Unit operations, supervise nursing staff, coordinate occupational health activities, and prepare required reports.
