Description:

The Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care before, during, and after interventional radiology procedures. Responsibilities include patient assessment, conscious sedation administration and monitoring, assisting physicians during procedures, patient recovery, and ensuring safe, high-quality patient care.


(4) 9 hour weekday shifts, with rotating day off. No nights! No Weekends! No Holidays!


Responsibilities:


  • Prepare and educate patients for procedures.
  • Review patient charts, consents, lab results, and allergies.
  • Administer and monitor conscious sedation as directed by the physician.
  • Monitor patients during procedures and recovery.
  • Assist physicians with interventional radiology procedures.
  • Maintain sterile technique and follow radiation safety protocols.
  • Manage medications, supplies, and patient care equipment.
  • Participate in on-call coverage as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Current New Mexico RN License.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (minimum).
  • IV Therapy training required.
  • CPR and ACLS certification required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of ICU, ER, OR, or Recovery Room experience.
  • Cath Lab or Angiography experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, assessment, and multitasking skills.
