We are looking for a FSQA Supervisor for the Principe Columbia site that:
JOB SUMMARY
The primary function of this position is to assist the FSQA Manager with ensuring the company has the highest product quality that is safe for human consumption.
Salary Range: $58,000 - $70,000
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assistant to and direct backup for FSQA Manager
Directly supervises FSQA technicians and coordinates their activities with assistance from FSQA Manager
Responsible for ensuring implementation of SQF Program protocols and standards.
Works with FSQA Manager to help maintain HACCP program and all records associated with it, including the monitoring of the CCPs.
Ensures all records and proper documents for SQF, HACCP and all pre-requisite programs are properly organized and maintained.
Collaborates with Lab Manager on scheduled testing
Follows up on any maintenance requests that are generated
Documents all sanitation requests that are needed.
Interacts with USDA on any NRs and any other concerns of the inspectors.
Responsible for Internal pest control program supplementing the outside pest control program
Coordinates internal audits (GMP, glass and brittle plastic).
Assists Lab manager on any samples that need to be taken for analysis
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Bachelor's degree in a biological science with 3+ years' experience in a USDA RTE facility
Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience
HACCP certified
Ability to make decisions without guidance
Ability to multi-task
Must have excellent problem-solving abilities
Must have excellent customer service skills
Must have excellent computer skills
Must have excellent communication skills
Must be able to read and comprehend regulations, correspondence, instructions, rules and regulations as well as fill out forms and write reports

Must be able to make decisions related to area of responsibility without guidance

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Frequent sitting, standing and walking, which may be required for long periods of time
Maintaining composure in dealing with authorities, clients, staff and the public, occasionally under conditions of urgency and in pressure situations.
Must undergo and meet company standards for background and reference checks, controlled substance testing.
Required ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
Handling and being exposed to sensitive and confidential information.
Responding on an on-call basis to emergencies and incidents at all hours.
May be exposed to stressful situations.
May be required to work additional hours/overtime without advance notice.
Seeing, hearing and speaking clearly in order to communicate effectively.
