Job Description

Network Engineer will be involved in a DevOps and Service Reliability Engineering role where you will deliver 24/7 administration and support for business owners. This career opportunity requires a solid understanding of Cisco and Linux technology. Must have 2 years real world IT Support experience with a broad range of technologies and skills.

Qualifications
  • Cisco CCNP Switching and Routing equivalent level knowledge
  • Cisco Catalyst (preferably 6500 series) experience
  • Cisco Content Switching Module
  • ASA/PIX Firewall Service Module
  • Cisco ASA Firewalls and VPN
  • Competency with an administrative language such as perl, python or ruby
  • Familiarity with application protocols such as DNS, HTTP, SIP
  • 1+ years of experience administering and supporting linux based systems
  • Linux administration and troubleshooting skills, preferably RHEL/CentOS
  • Familiarity with infrastructure orchestration and automation, Puppet, Chef, Ansible
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on collaboration between team members and other teams.


 Additional skills:

  • Familiarity with Solaris & Windows
  • Familiarity with virtualization , preferably Citrix XenServer or open source Xen
  • Familiarity with monitoring systems (Zenoss, Nagios, etc.)
  • Familiarity with enterprise storage systems such as NetApp systems
  • Familiarity with AWS services EC2, S3 & Route 53
  • Familiarity with NoSQL technologies, preferably MongoDB
  • Familiarity using and administering Apache HTTP, Nginx, Memcache, Varnish, MySQL, Posfix, FreeSwitch
  • Familiarity with the ELK stack, elasticsearch, logstash and kibana
  • Familiarity with performance, profiling and analytics tools like New Relic or AppDynamics
