The Royal Pacific Motor Inn is a small hotel in the heart of San Francisco’s North Beach and Chinatown districts. We are seeking a Front Desk Agent / Relief Overnight Auditor to join our team.

This is What You Get:

Compensation: $20.20/hour + $1/hr extra for overnight shifts, with benefits

Part-time position

Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, vacation, sick leave, holiday pay

Shift: 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM Fridays and Saturdays, possibly other days; 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM (overnight) as needed

Dress code: Business casual attire

Examples of Responsibilities:

Creates reservations and operates the reservation system.

Checks front office accounting records for accuracy and compiles information for the hotel’s financial records.

Tracks room revenues, occupancy percentages, and other statistics.

Posts and verifies room charges, balances, and taxes to guest accounts.

Greets guests and checks them in and out; responds to guest questions and needs in person and on the phone; makes and confirms reservations.

Ensures guests’ stay is as enjoyable as possible; assists transportation or other reservations.

Answers hotel’s internal and external phone calls and emails and provides information about the property.

Monitors the entire property and coordinates guest parking with parking attendant.

Utilizes own best judgment in resolving issues or refers to management.

Inspects guest rooms to ensure they meet hotel standards.

Assigns rooms for housekeepers to make up the next day.

Performs other duties as assigned by the General Manager.

Qualifications and Skills:

Background check required

Driver's license required – willingness to move guests’ vehicles if necessary

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Exceptional customer service skills

Computer literacy

Able to lift at least 25 lbs.

Able to work independently with minimal supervision

Able to communicate with people from various backgrounds and cultures

Professional appearance and demeanor

Reliability and punctuality are critical

Willingness to work overnights, weekends, and holidays

(Optional) Bilingual with Chinese or Spanish is a plus
