Summary:

The Wellness Nurse (Registered Nurse) plays a vital role in supporting the Resident Services Director with the comprehensive implementation, delivery, and coordination of Resident Care Services within the community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the Resident Services Department staff, including Certified Nursing Assistants (C.N.A.s).
  • Assist in managing the medication program and support residents in self-administering their medications.
  • Foster positive relationships with residents, their families, and healthcare providers.
  • Report any significant incidents or changes in residents' needs to the Executive Director or Resident Services Director.
  • Help complete resident assessments and develop service plans.
  • Assist with clinical assessments and recertifications as required by state regulations.
  • Support the Resident Services Director in recruitment and performance management within the department.
  • Participate in training and orientation for new team members.
  • Engage in scheduled in-service training programs and team meetings.
  • Assist with the scheduling and staffing of Resident Services Assistants as necessary.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to associates in the Resident Services Department.
  • Support residents and their families to ensure a high level of satisfaction.
  • Supervise RSA staff during the provision of care.
Qualifications:
  • Must hold a valid RN or LPN license in the state of Massachusetts.
  • Experience in assisted living or long-term care environments is preferred.
  • Basic First Aid and CPR certification is required.
  • A genuine passion for working with seniors is essential.
