This individual must be articulate, detail-oriented, and experienced in briefing senior military leadership.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support NAVSEA business process automation initiatives.
  • Design, develop, and improve workflow solutions that help streamline the creation, review, approval, tracking, and management of NAVSEA policies.
  • Work with government stakeholders to understand current business processes, identify bottlenecks, and recommend automation improvements.
  • Translate business requirements into automated workflows, process maps, documentation, and system requirements.
  • Support automation and analytics efforts by developing LLM and agentic solutions that improve review, collaboration, reporting, and operational efficiency.
  • Assist with the development, refinement, and implementation of automated policy workflow tools and related business processes.
  • Partner with technical teams, functional users, and leadership to ensure automation solutions align with mission needs.
  • Conduct workflow testing, user acceptance support, troubleshooting, and process validation.
  • Create and maintain documentation including process flows, user guides, workflow requirements, standard operating procedures, and training materials.
  • Support change management activities related to new or improved workflow processes.
  • Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders and provide briefings, updates, and recommendations as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to improve process efficiency, reduce manual tasks, and enhance policy development timelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of NAVSEA automation and analytics objectives.

Minimum Requirements

  • Active Secret clearance required.
  • Bachelor's degree and 9+ years of relevant experience, or Master's degree and 7+ years of relevant experience.

  • Experience gathering stakeholder requirements and translating them into workflow or automation solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of business process mapping, workflow design, process documentation, and operational improvement.
  • Experience supporting DoD, Navy, or other federal government customers.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and documentation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with executive leadership, technical teams, and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to understand complex policies and business processes and convert manual processes into efficient, repeatable workflows.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet mission-critical deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail, professionalism, accountability, and customer service orientation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting NAVSEA, Navy, or Department of Defense policy-related processes.
  • Experience developing workflows for policy review, approval routing, document management, task tracking, or process automation.
  • Experience with automation or workflow platforms such as Microsoft Power Platform, SharePoint workflows, ServiceNow, Jira, or similar business automation tools.
  • Experience supporting automation and analytics teams.
  • Knowledge of records management, policy governance, or formal approval workflows.
  • Experience creating dashboards, workflow reports, metrics, or process performance tracking.
  • Experience supporting process improvement, CMMI, Agile, or continuous improvement environments.
