Job description

Location: State College, PA (Onsite)
Compensation:
$25-$27/hr.
Travel:
75% overnight (weekdays only)

This company supports pharmaceutical, biotech, hospital, and research environments by ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and reliability of critical laboratory and medical equipment.

The team is seeking an ambitious and customer-focused Calibration Process Manager to support clients across the region while building strong technical and professional relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships across healthcare, biotech, and research environments, ranging from technicians to executive stakeholders
  • Perform calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of laboratory and biomedical instrumentation (oscilloscopes, analyzers, electro-mechanical systems, etc.)
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance of equipment used in critical research, development, and patient care applications
  • Develop and document calibration procedures, test methods, and service reports as needed
  • Interpret technical documentation and follow detailed calibration processes with precision
  • Travel to client sites (weekday overnight travel) to support field service and calibration activities
  • Represent the organization as a professional, high-value service provider in all customer interactions
  • Proactively identify issues, troubleshoot effectively, and follow through to resolution

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust with customers
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and customer-facing presence
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations and interpret technical data
  • Experience or exposure to calibration, troubleshooting, or repair of biomedical or laboratory equipment preferred
  • Understanding of physics and measurement principles (electronics, temperature, pressure, flow, etc.)
  • Ability to read and follow technical documentation with high attention to detail
  • Self-starter mindset with strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
  • Ability to meet client compliance requirements (vaccinations, etc.)
