Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) for ongoing assignments in home care. Whether you're looking for stable full-time work, flexible per diem shifts, or contract assignments to keep your schedule open, we'd love to talk.
What you'll do
As a CNA on assignment with Apex, you'll provide direct resident care at our partner SNFs, including:
- Assisting residents with activities of daily living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, ambulation, transfers, feeding
- Taking and recording vital signs
- Repositioning residents per facility protocols to prevent pressure injuries
- Reporting changes in resident condition
- Documenting care accurately in the designated medical system
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and respectful environment for residents
What we're looking for
- Active NY State CNA certification in good standing (verifiable through NY State Department of Health Nurse Aide Registry)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain before start date )
- Up-to-date immunizations and ability to complete pre-assignment health screening (TB, MMR, Varicella, Hep B, Tdap, annual flu, COVID-19 as facility requires)
- Ability to pass criminal background check and drug screen
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Strong communication skills, patience, compassion, and respect for residents and their families
- Reliable transportation to assignment locations
Preferred (not required)
- 1+ year experience
- Experience with EMR documentation systems (PointClickCare, MatrixCare, etc.)
- Bilingual (Spanish, Russian, Mandarin, Yiddish, Haitian Creole, Bengali, or other languages commonly spoken)
- Available for weekend and overnight shifts
