Overnight Behavioral Health Technician (BHT)
Jacksonville, NC
$17.00/hour + up to $1.50 overnight shift differential
Full-Time & Part-Time Overnight Opportunities Available

Pyramid Healthcare is seeking compassionate and dependable Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) to join our overnight team in Jacksonville, NC. In this direct care role, you'll help create a safe, supportive, and structured environment for adults receiving behavioral health and substance use treatment services during overnight hours.

Position Summary
The Overnight Behavioral Health Technician provides supervision, support, and monitoring of clients during overnight hours while helping maintain a therapeutic and recovery-focused environment. This role works closely with clinical and medical teams to support client safety, stability, and treatment goals.

Key Responsibilities
Monitor client safety and behavior throughout overnight shifts
Conduct routine checks and maintain accurate documentation
Assist with client admissions, orientation, and overnight needs
Observe and document medication self-administration per protocol
Respond appropriately to behavioral or emotional crises
Maintain a clean, safe, and structured residential environment
Support clients with daily living needs as needed
Transport clients to appointments or program activities when required
Complete required documentation, trainings, and compliance tasks
Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to support client care

Qualifications
Required:
High school diploma or GED
Valid driver's license with a safe driving record
CPR, First Aid, and AED certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)

Preferred:
Experience in behavioral health, substance use treatment, mental health, healthcare, or residential care
Experience working with vulnerable populations

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong communication and documentation skills
Ability to de-escalate crisis situations effectively
Sound judgment and problem-solving abilities
Understanding of professional boundaries and ethical care standards
Ability to work independently during overnight hours
