Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Overnight Baker with manufacturing experience to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of baked goods using commercial bakery machinery and equipment. You will play a key role in ensuring the efficient and consistent production of high-quality products, from breads to pastries, while adhering to safety standards and production timelines. This position is ideal for a baker who is comfortable working with manufacturing processes in a fast-paced, automated environment.
Role & Responsibilities
• Operate and maintain commercial bakery equipment and machinery, including mixers, dough dividers, sheeters, ovens, and proofers, to produce a variety of baked goods.
• Prepare, mix, and bake products according to standardized recipes and production schedules, ensuring consistency in quality and appearance.
• Monitor and adjust machinery settings to ensure proper dough handling, proofing, and baking times.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor equipment malfunctions or issues during the production process to minimize downtime.
• Perform routine maintenance on bakery equipment to ensure it is functioning efficiently and safely.
• Collaborate with the production team to meet daily production quotas, monitor inventory levels, and manage ingredients and supplies.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workspace, including equipment, floors, and surfaces, following all safety and health regulations.
• Conduct quality checks throughout the production process to ensure baked goods meet company standards for taste, texture, and appearance.
• Ensure proper packaging and storage of finished products to maintain freshness and quality.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines, including proper handling and storage of food and operating machinery safely.
• Assist in setting up the production line for the next shift by organizing ingredients and pre-loading machinery with the necessary supplies.
Requirements
• Proven experience as a baker in a commercial bakery or food manufacturing environment, with strong familiarity with operating and maintaining bakery machinery.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently during overnight shifts.
• Understanding of industrial baking processes, equipment, and techniques.
