JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The Department of Materials Science and Engineering in the College of Earth and Mineral Scienecs is seeking applicants for part-time research support.

Job duties to include:

  • assisting in the analysis of Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) data collected by the Two-Dimensional Crystal Consortium (2DCC) using machine learning and computer vision techniques
  • applying and extending existing feature extraction and classification tools to analyze experimental 2D materials imaging data

Requirements, qualifications, and/or competencies:

  • Prior experience with Python, machine learning, and materials science is required

Compensation:

The starting rate for this job is $15/hour.
