Job description

Class A CDL Driver – Overnight Airport Operations 

IGLogistix, a division of Imprimis Group, is hiring experienced Class A CDL Drivers to support a local transportation operation near DFW Airport. This is a home-daily position focused on moving full-size trailers between a nearby distribution center and designated airport delivery locations. 

This is not an over-the-road driving position. Drivers will complete short, repetitive routes, exchange loaded and empty trailers and operate within secured airport areas. 

Position Details:
  • Pay: $28.00 to 32.00 per hour.  
  • Schedule: 10:00 PM–6:00 AM. 
  • Driving hours are primarily between 11:00 PM and 5:00 AM. 
  • Full-time schedule. 
  • Seven-day operation – 5-day work week. 
  • Weekend and holiday availability may be required. 
  • Two consecutive days off will be provided whenever operationally possible.
  • Local routes with drivers home daily.
  • Limited overtime expected.

Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate a tractor and approximately 48-foot trailer. 
  • Transport trailers between the distribution center and designated airport delivery locations. 
  • Drop loaded trailers and retrieve empty trailers. 
  • Complete short shuttle routes on public roads and secure airport property. 
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections. 
  • Follow all airport, TSA, DOT, safety, and site-specific procedures. 
  • Maintain required driver logs, inspection records, and transportation documentation. 
  • Report equipment concerns, accidents, delays, and safety issues immediately. 
  • Communicate professionally with dispatch, supervisors, airport personnel, and operations teams. 
  • Participate in defensive driving and airport driving training. 
  • Maintain control of all airport-issued badges and credentials. 
  • Return airport credentials immediately when employment ends. 

Requirements:
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License. 
  • Class B licenses will not qualify for this position. 
  • Experience operating a tractor-trailer or comparable commercial equipment. 
  • Ability to safely maneuver, back, connect, disconnect, drop, and retrieve trailers. 
  • Acceptable motor vehicle record. 
  • Ability to pass all required employment and driver background screenings. 
  • Ability to pass DOT drug and alcohol testing requirements. 
  • Ability to complete TSA and DFW Airport badging requirements. 
  • Ability to complete Smith System or comparable defensive driving training. 
  • Ability to complete airport and airfield driving training. 
  • Ability to work overnight, weekends, and holidays as scheduled. 
  • Reliable transportation to the assigned work location. 
  • Strong attendance, dependability, and safety record. 

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous yard hostler, shuttle, airport, distribution, warehouse, or local delivery experience. 
  • Experience driving in secured, high-traffic, or regulated environments. 
  • Familiarity with trailer inspections and yard safety procedures. 
  • Experience working overnight schedules. 

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to enter and exit commercial vehicles throughout the shift. 
  • Ability to sit and drive for extended periods. 
  • Ability to bend, reach, climb, and perform routine trailer inspections. 
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in changing weather conditions. 
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment.
