Job description

This is an overnight position, hours ranging from 6pm to 2 am. / Este es un puesto nocturno, con horario comprendido entre las 6:00 p. m. y las 2:00 a. m.

As an Overnight Team Member at Chick-fil-A, you play a critical role in ensuring the restaurant is thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and fully reset for the next day’s operations. This position includes a combination of Front of House (FOH), Back of House (BOH), and kitchen duties, all focused on deep cleaning, restocking, and maintaining our high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization.

Key Responsibilities:Hand Washing & Sanitation:
  • Demonstrate and follow proper handwashing procedures (including the forearms and \bear claw\ method)
  • Consistently follow health and safety guidelines as outlined in training
Front of House (FOH) Closing Tasks:
  • Close and clean the dining room:
  • Sweep and mop floors
  • Roll up and store rugs
  • Clean tables, chair legs, and cracks between surfaces
  • Clean glass doors and ramp area
  • Compactor Procedure:
  • Turn off compactor, remove and dispose of garbage, line with a new bag, and restart
  • Clean bathrooms:
  • Sweep and mop floors
  • Change garbage
  • Clean mirrors, hand dryers, walls, toilets, and counters
  • Clean the ice cream machine thoroughly:
  • Follow multi-step sanitizing and rinsing procedures (see detailed SOP)
  • Fully disassemble and sanitize all components, then allow to air dry
  • Front Counter Breakdown & Reassembly:
  • Remove, wash, and sanitize drink tower parts and ice bin
  • Reassemble correctly
  • Wipe down POS screens, bin tops, and keypads
Back of House (BOH) and Kitchen Duties:
  • Kitchen Closing Procedures:
  • Primary & Secondary stations
  • Machines & Fryers
  • Breading table clean-up
  • Chicken rotation protocol
  • Back Counter Breakdown & Reassembly:
  • Remove screws/dividers, wash all parts, clean shoot
  • Reassemble dividers correctly by food item
  • Shine counters and fridges
  • Sweep behind and between counters
Facility Cleaning:
  • Garbage Removal:
  • Gather team members to remove garbage (two-person lift if needed)
  • Line up tied boxes and garbage for pick-up
  • Bathroom Maintenance (BOH):
  • Sweep, mop, restock supplies, clean mirrors
  • Break Room:
  • Clean tables, sweep, mop, put up chairs
  • Marketing Area:
  • Sweep and mop
  • Office:
  • Remove chairs, sweep and mop
Receiving & Stocking Truck Orders:
  • Verify items against the invoice
  • Store products in correct areas (dry, freezer, or refrigerated)
  • Report and notate any damaged or missing items, notify leadership via email
Final Walkthrough & Documentation:
  • Ensure all stations are clean and reassembled properly
  • Verify all equipment is in its correct location and plugged in
  • Conduct a final mop of the entire restaurant
  • Take and upload photos to the BOH cleaning board for documentation
