We are seeking an Outside Plant Technician to join our team supporting DISA JSP ETM in Arlington, VA.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain, coordinate, and manage installation of JSP offered services for all outside plant infrastructure.
  • Provide daily updates on OSP activities and coordinate meetings with relevant stakeholders.
  • Read and develop construction-related plans and drawings and interface with commercial vendors and utility officials.
  • Process WHS and State/Local Government permits for OSP activities and coordinate Pentagon Reservation access for supporting vendors.
  • Provide site surveys and data for projects involving outside plant installations.
  • Comply with BICSI and JSP OSP standards and provide monthly records of surveys, permits, tickets closed, and meetings attended.
  • Develop, perform, and coordinate tickets for outside plant incidents and provide emergency restoration services upon notification of OSP-related outages.
  • Conduct detailed surveys of MHs, HHs, and A-Ring tunnel infrastructure and provide corrective actions as needed.
  • Capture and update data related to infrastructure condition, duct fill, and maintenance requirements.
  • Develop comprehensive plans for bringing OSP infrastructure into compliance with standards when non-compliance is identified.
  • Manage and complete emergency restoration services for OSP infrastructure upon notification of incidents.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience:
    • 3-5 years’ experience
  • Clearance: Must possess Secret clearance

WAGE INFORMATION

Target salary range: $48,000 - $125,000. The salary range displayed is an estimate only and is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, and will be determined on several factors regarding the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract parameters and organizational requirements. The displayed salary is one component of the total compensation package for employees.
