What is outside operations?

Outside Operations typically refers to the staff and activities that support the golf course outside the clubhouse, such as managing golf carts, assisting golfers with their bags, maintaining practice areas, and ensuring the smooth flow of play on the course. These employees are responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing carts for use, and keeping the outdoor areas organized and clean. Outside Operations play a crucial role in creating a positive experience for golfers and supporting the overall operation of the facility.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an outside operations professional?

To excel in Outside Operations, you typically need a solid understanding of golf course or facility maintenance, customer service experience, and strong organizational skills, often supported by a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with golf carts, point-of-sale systems, and scheduling software is commonly required. Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a team environment help individuals stand out in this role. These skills ensure smooth daily operations, positive customer experiences, and the overall success of the facility.
