Title: WS-HS Welcome Desk Associate Work-Study

Position Type: Workstudy

College: Community College of Denver

Division: Academic Affairs

Department: CCD Health and Natural Sciences Pathway

Campus: Lowry Campus

Location: Denver

Salary Range: 19.29

Job Summary:

Welcome Desk Associates positions provide quality customer service to prospective students and their families through campus tours, information sessions, event support, open houses, and enrollment/registration assistance. Associates serve as the first point of contact for the Health Sciences Pathway, respond to questions, and give directions from the Welcome Desk on the Lowry Campus.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Provide coverage for the Welcome Desk to answer incoming calls and general traffic.
- Assist general office work and simple paperwork organization tasks.
- Receive & distribute mail and packages.
- Assist with classroom and conference room setup as needed.
- Support recruitment events and other outreach activities.
- Assist with student food and pet food pantry check-ins, including organizing and stocking pantry supplies.
- Produce program ID badges for clinical rotations.
- Maintain marketing materials and bulletin boards throughout the building.

Competencies/KSAs:

- Provide excellent customer service to students, families, and visitors.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess student needs and make appropriate referrals.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
- Ability to navigate websites and locate accurate program information.
- Maintain a professional demeanor.
- Communicate effectively in writing using clear and professional language.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities in an educational environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Currently enrolled as a CCD student and eligible for the Work-Study program.
- Must be able to work the assigned schedule throughout the academic term.
