Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct post-anesthesia care in an 11-bay PACU supporting 6 operating rooms
  • Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio throughout the post-operative recovery process
  • Support surgical specialties including orthopedics, gynecology, ENT, and general surgery
  • Utilize Epic EMR for accurate and timely documentation of patient care
  • Participate in on-call coverage โ€” 4 call shifts per 4-week scheduling period (either 7:00 AMโ€“7:00 PM or 7:00 PMโ€“7:00 AM counts as one call shift)
  • Collaborate with the charge nurse and surgical team to maintain safe, efficient patient flow
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in PACU, ICU, or Emergency Room โ€” candidates without this experience will not be considered
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Current ACLS certification
  • Current BLS certification
  • Current PALS certification
  • Ability to work on-call shifts Mondayโ€“Friday and weekends as scheduled
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • 2 or more years of PACU-specific nursing experience
  • Familiarity with standard PACU equipment and post-operative protocols across multiple surgical specialties
  • Experience working in a high-volume surgical environment
